As a non-profit organization, we work with all students, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or income. However, we offer discounts on our services to first-generation, minority, and low-income students on a sliding scale. We also offer free continuous support to all of our students from 1L to 3L as part of our non-profit mission to increase our students' success in law school and job placement rates. When you sign up to work with Barrier Breakers®, you sign up for lifetime support!

All packages can be put on a payment plan, whether paying in full or using a discount.

Scholarships are not stackable. You are eligible for the highest discount for which you qualify.
For example, if you are a first-generation law student (10% off) and have an LSAC Fee-Waiver, you are eligible for 75% off of our services.

Our packages are designed within specific timeframes to help you stay on track and be prepared to press submit on your application! Please pay attention to date ranges when selecting the right package for you.

  • I don't want to start for several months. Can I purchase now?
    Yes! Our packages are designed with specific timeframes in mind. Each package has an end date that is the latest purchase date. You can purchase any time leading up to that date as long as you clearly communicate your desire to wait to start.
  • How many hours do I need?
    Your hours can be used in a variety of ways, from meetings to document reviews. To help you understand how many hours you may need, take a look at our How To Use Your Hours guide.
  • Who will I be getting feedback from?
    Upon your start date, you will be paired with one of our expert law school admissions consultants. We are a growing team, so not all clients will work with Sydney Montgomery. Sydney trains all team members and reviews all team member contributions to your essays before it is returned to you. Learn more about our team here!
  • How do I know what sliding scale pricing I am eligible for?
    What you register to work with us, you will be asked answer questions that will help our team identify what scholarships you are eligible for. Once submitted, you will be redirected to a checkout page with the correct checkout links. If you believe you should quality for a higher discount, email hello@barrier-breakers.org.
  • Are payment plans available?
    Yes, we offer payment plans through the external providers PayPal and Klarna.
